Rock Castle was built in 1784 by General Daniel and Sarah Smith. The General was a surveyor for this part of the frontier and built his home on beautiful Old Hickory Lake. He is also credited with providing the name for the great State of Tennessee.
Spring Haven is a beautiful plantation home built in 1825 with a rich pre-Civil War history. The property includes the original 1800 cabin, spring house, smokehouse and barn. For local flavor and easy access, many smaller shopping centers and stores are located along Main St in Hendersonville.
