They Only Look Like an Overnight Success
After the Country Music Awards (CMAs) last night, everyone was talking about newcomer, Chris Stapleton and his performance with Justin Timberlake.
Chris seemingly came out of nowhere to take the Best New Artist Award, Best Male Vocalist and Album of the Year at the CMA awards last night.
What a haul!
The truth is Chris Stapleton is not a new artist.
He first came to Nashville in 2001 as a songwriter.
He has six #1 hits under his belt.
Over 150 of his songs have appeared on albums by Adele, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and many others.
He was lead singer and guitarist of the band, The SteelDrivers, and was nominated for 3 Grammys in 2010.
He then formed the Jompson Brothers and toured with Zac Brown.
In 2013, he was signed as a solo act with Mercury Nashville.
Last night, he was finally discovered by the rest of the world and deemed an overnight success.
If missed the performance, check out the video here:
The honest truth: Most successful people don’t make it big overnight.
The same is true in real estate.
You have to start with a plan.
Set the groundwork. Do your homework. Put in the long hours.
Before you make it to the top.
