Nashville Asks: Is it Spring Yet?

Well, I am in total denial about the HUGE winter weather event that is coming up this week- it is March for heaven’s sake - and by the time this blog is posted and anyone reads it, the event may be over so I am not going to talk about it, EXCEPT TO SAY that a self-employed working girl cannot take many more cancellations to her pocket book!  I have four catering jobs this week and am in full swing in production.  If there are cancellations, I may just have to invite the neighborhood over for lunch and dinner for a few days – just a nominal charge to cover my expenses!!!

DO NOT FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD ONE HOUR ON SATURDAY, MARCH 7TH, BEFORE YOU GO TO BED!!!!

Yes, folks, on Sunday March 8th we will be seeing the light until almost 7:00pm!   I, for one and not alone for certain, cannot wait.  Maybe old man winter will finally release his hold on us and let us enjoy Spring.  The official first day of Spring, the vernal equinox, is on March 20th

In my last post, I shared many wonderful musical and cultural events throughout the month of March.  Here are a few more events you may enjoy this Month:

Mark your calendars for the 2nd SKYVILLE LIVE on April 7th

You can check out the website – www.skyvillelive.com – or the facebook page for details, but here is an idea of what this great musical event is about:

“Skyville Live is not a concert.  It’s a new, groundbreaking, online music series.  It’s a collaboration of great artists from all generations and all genres of music and a peek behind the curtain with interviews and unforgettable live performances.”

The first show featured Gladys Knight, Martina McBride and Estelle.

The second show on April 7th will feature Kris Kristofferson, Lady Antebellum and Jason Isbell.  YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS LIVE PERFORMANCE ONLINE.  I watched the first live performance on my Ipad and it was magical.  I’ll be sure to remind you again in upcoming blogs, but I want you to put this on your to do list!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!!!!!!
