Did Twitter just show you how to sell your home quickly?
If you are a big fan of Twitter, you know what a great tool it can be.  And you also know how they have been losing users to the other social media platforms.Â
So what does a responsible company do?
They pivot and re-position themselves using the greatest gift that they can provide to their customers.Â
In Twitter’s case, it was the gift of News.
Twitter discovered that most people wanted to be social on other platforms, but they kept coming back for the instant access to news around the world.Â
In this case, Twitter had two choices. It could die a slow death gradually losing its audience each month. Or it could become the best source of news available everywhere you go.Â
So this week, Twitter officially changed its iTunes category from Social Media to News.
It’s a bold move that just might gain them new users who never considered it for that purpose.
In the marketing world, this is known as positioning. They are trying to change your perception of their business.Â
Right about now, you might be asking.Â
Steve, what does this have to do with Real Estate?
Positioning has everything to do with selling your home. And you don’t have to wait for bad news to do it right.Â
It’s our goal to show your home in the best light possible right out of the gate. We do this by showing the public how wonderful it would be to live in your home.
In the mind of the buyer, perception is reality.Â
If they come to the conclusion that your home is their dream, nothing can change that.
Not even the price.
If you are curious how we might position your home to sell quickly for the highest price, then let’s talk about it.Â
P.S. Next week we will talk about how positioning can help a buyer even when there are multiple offers.Â
